SUBJECT:  DRIVER SAFETY

THE WHITE ALICE SYSTEM PRESENTLY HAS THE HIGHEST VEHICLE ACCIDENT

RATE OF ANY AFCS COMMAND. THIS REFLECTS POORLY ON EACH INDIVIDUAL

WITHIN THE SYSTEM IN REGARD FOR PROPERTY AND PERSONAL SAFETY.

FORTUNATELY, WE ARE BEGINNING TO SHOW A DOWNWARD TREND.

DRIVER SAFETY IS VERY IMPORTANT ESPECIALLY UNDER THE ADVERSE WEATHER

CONDITIONS THAT WE ARE REQUIRED TO OPERATE UNDER. EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY,

DRIVER SAFETY WILL BE INCLUDED IN EVERY MONTHLY MEETING AND

NOTED ON WAF 2067

STATION SUPERVISORS WILL PERSONALLY CHECK-RIDE ALL SITE ASSIGNED

PERSONNEL INCLUDING VISITING PERSONNEL PRIOR TO AUTHORIZING USE OF

VEHICULAR EQUIPMENT, AND PROVIDE REQUIRED OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS IF

NECESSARY. UNAUTHORIZED, OR IRRESPONSIBLE USE OF ANY GOVERNMENT

VEHICLE WILL BE CAUSE FOR IMMEDIATE DISCIPLINARY ACTION INCLUDING

POSSIBLE TERMINATION. PERSONNEL INVOLVED IN VEHICULAR ACCIDENTS

OF ANY MAGNITUDE WILL BE REQUIRED TO SUBMIT, TO THEIR IMMEDIATE

SUPERVISOR, A COMPLETE WRITTEN REPORT OF ALL PARTICULARS IMMEDIATELY

FOLLOWING SUCH INCIDENTS IF PHYSICALLY CAPABLE OF DOING SO.

IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF EVERY INDIVIDUAL TO EXERCISE SAFETY

CONSCIOUSNESS EACH TIME HE OR SHE OPERATES A VEHICLE. CARELESSNESS

IS INEXCUSABLE AND IS INTOLERABLE WHEN CONSIDERING THE POSSIBILITY

OF PERSONAL INJURY.
